We work closely with employers to understand their digital skills needs, ensuring that training providers offer relevant AI and automation-focused learning opportunities. This helps businesses adopt AI-driven solutions for improved efficiency, smarter decision-making, and innovation in their industries. Internally, we use AI to enhance data analysis, improve member engagement, and support strategic planning, allowing us to provide more targeted support to businesses.
By championing AI adoption in a way that complements human expertise, we help organisations navigate digital transformation while ensuring a well-equipped workforce for the future.

Devon Chamber of Commerce, leads on the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP)—a statutory initiative designed to ensure that skills provision aligns with the needs of local employers, supporting business growth and economic resilience across the region.
Our LSIP is shaped by direct engagement with businesses, identifying key workforce challenges and opportunities. A major focus is ensuring that everyone has access to the right technical and vocational education, as well as other skills necessary to drive productivity and innovation. This includes sector-specific training, apprenticeships, and workforce development strategies that address both current and future needs.
Additionally, digital upskilling and AI adoption are increasingly important in today’s evolving economy. We support businesses in integrating new technologies while also strengthening core skills that remain essential across all industries.
We are excited to be partnering with Tomlinson Solutions and Smart Working Revolution to deliver engaging workshops, host stands and present at “LifeIn AI”. Our aim is to connect with businesses, drive meaningful engagement, and support organisations in understanding the evolving skills landscape—particularly in relation to AI, digital transformation and workforce development.

This interactive workshop will explore bespoke AI solutions designed for SMEs, ensuring that small businesses stay ahead in the evolving tech landscape. Participants will gain insights from dedicated cybersecurity experts on how to implement AI safely and securely. A key focus will be on understanding how to input the right information into AI systems, helping businesses make informed decisions while protecting their data. Through discussions and hands-on activities, attendees will leave with practical knowledge to confidently navigate AI adoption.
