“LifeIn Series” began as a way to test how live events could create real value for local people and organisations. What started with “LifeIn Print” as a small pilot in 2023 has grown into a wider event platform, with “LifeIn AI in 2025” showing the appetite for high-quality, future-focused discussion.
Now that “LifeIn AI 2026 in Partnership with Babcock” will take place on Wednesday 23rd September 2026, the series is reaching new heights. The goal is to grow the platform to spotlight important topics and create a lasting series that informs, connects and inspires positive action across different sectors.
LifeIn AI 2026 in Partnership with Babcock International Group
Plymouth is set to once again become an interactive hub of Artificial Intelligence with the return of the South West’s biggest major open-access AI event.
“LifeIn AI 2026” is taking place in the city on Wednesday 23rd September in partnership with Babcock International Group (Babcock), offering visitors a glimpse of what the future could look like with AI.
The FREE one-day show will showcase AI robots and demonstrations, AI keynote talks, immersive dome shows and hands-on workshops led by industry experts, such as Babcock, that will showcase the cutting edge technology being developed right here in the South West.
Taking place between 10am and 5pm at Plymouth’s Market Hall in Devonport — a leading venue for digital and tech conferences — the event will provide access to interactive AI experiences for businesses, creatives, academics, students and the general public alike, transforming the historic venue into a vibrant hub of innovation.
Andrew Munday, Babcock’s Global Technology Director, says:

In April, Babcock confirmed its new Capability Centre (artist impression of the new centre is pictured) located at the former House of Fraser building in Plymouth’s Royal Parade, underpinning its position as a leader in defence and in technologies such as marine AI and autonomy.
